15 Dec 2021 - Response to managing COVID-19

Updated: Jan 23, 2022

On 15 December 2021, the NSW Government is lifting a suite of COVID-19 restrictions. MJ Piano Lessons is a registered COVID Safe business and like any other business in NSW, it must take reasonable precautions to protect the health and wellbeing of those who enter the premises. Senior Medical Advisor for NSW Health, Dr Jan Fizzell stated in a media release today, “While being vaccinated against COVID-19 will likely lessen the symptoms of the disease and potentially protect you from hospital admission, it does not always completely prevent you from contracting and spreading the virus. Take precautions, wear masks when indoors and where social distancing is not possible and keep up good hand hygiene.”

In light of the outbreak of the omicron variant and comments from the Dr Fizzell, conditions of entry to MJ Piano Lessons will largely remain the same:

  • Complete a COVID-Safe check-in each visit.

  • Comply with the capacity limit of 4 people (1 person per 4 square metres)

  • Practise good hand hygiene. Hand sanitiser has been made available in several locations throughout the teaching space.

  • Wear a face mask if you are 12 years of age or over. If you have arrived at lessons without a face mask, a mask will be provided to you.

  • Allow for the piano keyboard and any other common surfaces to be cleaned down in between lessons.

Justin McKee, Piano Teacher for MJ Piano Lessons has been fully vaccinated. A copy of his vaccination certificate is permanently on display at the check-in point and visitors can request to see the digital certificate at any time.
