MJ Piano Lessons
Musicianship
Justin McKee specialises in musicianship for students wanting a deeper grasp on musical theory and aural training when its otherwise been absent from their musical training.
Musicianship provides a solid foundation for understanding all of the musical elements and how they are pieced together to construct.
Justin teaches Musicianship within the piano lessons he delivers to skill students up with the depth of understanding they need to express themselves when performing. It is also an integral part of continued composition study.
Taking specialised music theory lessons is typically done for one of four reasons:
-
To support High School Music studies.
-
To prepare for studying composition or electronic music production.
-
The student is new to MJ Piano Studios and was unaware that in order to pass your AMEB practical exam from Grade 6 and up, you will need to pass a music theory exam.
-
Your existing instrument teacher outside of our studio does not teach music theory.
